Harvey Specter continues to impress the audience with his ability to not only win clients but a situation of absolute crisis. He acts immediately to find the best possible solution to overcome Jessica’s judgment, Hardman’s ego, Fortsman’s trap, and Darby’s diplomacy. Though he may sound cocky and might even act like an absolute pain to work with, there are a few instincts that make us love Harvey more and more. The character might be fictional but here are some important lessons we learned on closing clients from the name partner Harvey Specter.

 

First, do your homework. Read everything about the person you’re dealing with and before they bring in their secrets to the table, you already are aware of them. Secondly, show empathy. This might sound weird when it comes to Harvey but yes the character is empathetic towards his client’s problem and goes to every possible extent to solve the problem, a thing that his clients love about him. Third, work in a team. It may look like Harvey’s got full control over every situation all by himself, but he is nothing without Donna, Jessica, Mike, and even Louis. Four, before you negotiate, be ready to give something in return. Lastly, play the man, not the odds.
